Among the community's assets are a well-developed public infrastructure, a publicly owned industrial park, a highly skilled (non-union) local labor force and other essential amenities for successful commerce. A fire rating of 5 means reduced insurance costs to all.

Charlotte offers charming buildings with a safe small town atmosphere of peace and the beauty of the country and yet only a short drive to Lansing, the State Capital with all the amenities found in larger cities. With easy access to I-69, I-96, and I-94 the drive to Detroit, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Toronto or other major industrial centers is ideal.
Courthouse History
Charlotte is the only community in Michigan with three Courthouses still in existence - The 1885 Eaton County Courthouse downtown in the Courthouse Square next to the 1873 second empire sheriff's residence, the 1845 Courthouse under restoration in Bennett Park, and the current Courthouse built in 1976 on the northwest edge of town. This is a treasured link to our past and a unique opportunity for your future.
